Migraine

I used to get migraine all the time and I always thought its all bcoz of my shift work tat result me to get d pain..

For the past few months, I'v been cutting down/avoid on these below:
>Coffee
>Milk
>No more drinking Soya Milk
>Flickering/Bright Light


& lastly avoid being in a hunger state even for a short while.. For the benefit of doubt, I tried small steps by doing the Do's and Don't and it helps....sooo far, the migraine has not come that often....sounds good..

Things that i love to eat no matter is HOTDOG & PIZZA & SALMON
Actually these food may trigger to migraine....but i tried to take in small portion..hmm, like as if?
How could I say no...its my favourite laaahh..

Diet Headache Migraine: Foods to avoid
Ø Pepperoni, hot dogs, luncheon meats
Ø Food additives (MSG and nitrites that are found in pepperoni, luncheon meats, and hot dogs)
Ø Bread and other baked goods
Ø Dried fruits
Ø Smoked or dried fish
Ø Potato chips
Ø Pizza, peanuts, chicken livers, and other specific foods
Ø Caffeine: coffee, chocolate, tea, colas, sodas
Ø Aged cheeses: blue cheese, mozzarella, feta, cheddar, parmesan
Ø Cheese (except cottage, farmer's, ricotta and cream)
Ø Watch out for flavourings (ie vanilla) which may contain alcohol)

Ø Bright and flickering lights
Ø Odors

Dairy products, especially cultured ones, have a reputation of being a major inducer of migraine. Some people find that eliminating these specific food groups on a trial basis offers the best and practical approach. These dairy products include milk, ice cream, sour cream, cheese, yogurt and other dairy containing sources.
The types of milk that are possible causes of migraine include:

· Goat’s milk
· Soy milk
· Buttermilk

Chocolate milk
You can reduce the frequency and intensity of you migraine headache by avoiding or reducing milk intake in your diet. The only known class of milk that can help minimize migraine is skim milk.

Soy as Food Additive
One of the food preservatives that is known to cause migraine is Soy, especially fermented ones, since it contains high levels of tyramine. Tyramine is a natural substance formed from the breakdown of protein as food ages. It is mostly found in aged
, fermented or spoiled foods.
